Robyn will talk about her experiences engaging in community-based research from within nonprofit organizations, including the challenges and opportunities that arise in doing this type of work.
Robyn Hoogendam is the Manager of Research and Policy for Women’s Shelters Canada, where she has worked since 2022. She has lead research on areas like worker wellness, and funding, and engaged in policy on gender- based violence issues. She holds PhD in Public Policy from Carleton University where she focused on federal funding of anti-violence women’s organizations in Canada.
